I was reading in Psalms this morning and was struck by the call of Psalm 107 to give thanks and to celebrate the redeeming work of God in our lives.
1 Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble
3 and gathered in from the lands,
from the east and from the west,
from the north and from the south.
We often ask the question in our Ministry Staff meetings here at Grace, "Where is God at work at Grace Church?" It is always a time of encouragement and celebration. As we share, I find myself lifted out of the day to day tasks and troubles. My vision of the big picture of God's mighty hand at work in people's lives is renewed. Maybe that's why the Psalm writer concludes his psalm by saying
43 Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things;
let them consider the steadfast love of the LORD.
May we be wise today and reflect on the ways in which we have seen and experienced the richness of the Gospel. Let's hear the urging of this psalm to reflect on the Lord's unfailing love for us. I would love to hear where God is at work in our midst...
